BIEL Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center

The city of Beirut is directly located at the Lebanese coast and is home to two million inhabitants. When visiting the city it is almost obligatory to visit the Al-Omari mosque. The gorgeous building attracts countless tourists every year, so do the Khalil Gibran garden and the many other sights in the city. But there are also many people coming to Lebanon to visit International exhibitions in Beirut. The BIEL Beirut international Exhibition & Leisure Center hosts several international congresses, exhibitions and fairs every year, such as several other events as well. The area offers 82.000 m² of space, 25.000 m² of it being outdoors and 15.000 m² being in 2 big halls with a functional air-conditioning. Both halls are 17 meters high, with hall 1 being the bigger one of the two. In the basement you will find a conference room offering 1.200 m² of space. Conference room A is built for 450 people, room B offers space for 225 people. Between the two you will find a big lobby extending over 300 m². One of the highlights is the elegant ballroom that offers 2000 m² of space and has an Oriental flair in its decor and a glass front that is 56 m long. Beneath its 8 m high ceiling it offers room for 1.500 guests (seated). The area of BIEL in Beirut is located in the south of a headland that reaches into the ocean north of the city. On the area you will find 42.000 m² of parking lots also offering space for bigger cars, buses and trucks. The international airport „Rafic Harriri“ is in the south of the city and approximately 9 km away from the exhibition center. Beirut does not have many buses in public transportation so it is wise to take a taxi from the hotel or the airport to get to the International exhibition center.
