MS&D is an international platform for experts from the world’s naval community – it is regarded as a key forum by leading representatives of navies, coastguards, border police and customs authorities, and representatives of industry and government throughout the world. It responds in particular to the growing threat from piracy and terrorism to global goods transport on the vulnerable international shipping routes, and hence to the functioning of the world’s economy.
