Techtextil India Mumbai

Founded in 2013, Techtextil India is a prestigious international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens. The name "Techtextil" is derived from the combination of "technology" and "textile," emphasizing the technological innovation and expertise prevalent in this sector. The fair is organized by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt. Ltd. and takes place biennially in Mumbai. The focus of the event covers various facets of the industry – from research and development, raw materials, and production processes to processing and recycling.

Exhibitors showcase a wide range of products, including fibers, yarns, nonwovens, layups, braids, knits, functional textiles, masterbatches, composites, functional clothing textiles, and many other technical textile products. The fair also highlights numerous applications of technical textiles and nonwovens in research, industry, architecture, and other areas. Special highlights include knowledge exchange programs, especially those centered on sustainability, including a hackathon for the technical textile industry, a forum on current industry trends, and discussions about the use of technical textiles in agriculture. Another highlight is the "Excellence Zone," where innovative projects from reputed institutions like BTRA, SASMIRA, and ATIRA are showcased.
