With about 75 exhibitors the 3DPRINTEXPO taking place at Pragati Maidan Exhibition Center of New Delhi is the biggest 3D Printing Exhibition and Conference in India. 3D Printing is a process of manufacturing 3-dimentional objects designed on the computer and directly commanded by the computer to the printer. By means of this technology and equipment it is possible to print 3D objects of any size and design very accurately and at low cost. The fields of application, that are also picked out at the fair as focus sectors, are industrial 3D printing, e.g. printing (making) of automobiles and critical parts of aircrafts, medical 3D printing, e.g. human body parts (prosthetics) and human tissues, and socio-cultural applications. The exhibitors demonstrate how innovations have become easier and more accessible by means of 3D printing and show that 3D printed metal parts can be as strong as traditionally manufactured metal components and the mechanical properties are equivalent to a cast metal part. In addition to the exhibition and the conference the 3DPRINTEXPO offers some special attractions, such as the startup pavilion, B2B meetings and the BootCamp.
