Since its founding in 1962, the Agra Fair has established itself as an internationally recognized platform for innovation, quality, and sustainability in the agricultural and food industries. Each year, the modern exhibition center Pomurski Sejem d.d. in Gornja Radgona, located on the Slovenian-Austrian border, becomes a meeting point for experts, professionals, and decision-makers from around the world.
The Agra Fair is much more than a traditional trade show. It addresses current topics such as food safety, digitalization, artificial intelligence in agriculture, sustainable cultivation methods, efficient forestry, the future of rural areas, climate change, water resources, as well as rural tourism, gastronomy, wood processing, and craftsmanship. This thematic diversity makes Agra a unique event with specific added value for farmers, representatives of the food industry, forestry and wood sectors, packaging and logistics companies, gastronomes, and scientists.
The range of exhibits includes state-of-the-art agricultural and forestry machinery, innovative production, breeding and processing technologies, as well as high-quality foods, specialties, and wines. Particularly noteworthy are the comprehensive exhibitions: livestock shows featuring various animal species, presentations of indigenous breeds, a biodynamically managed permaculture garden, a selection of rare grape varieties and heritage apple species, and a state-of-the-art exhibition beehive all underscore the fair’s commitment to authenticity and exclusivity. Products awarded in the renowned AGRA quality evaluation regularly attract international attention.
Exhibitors mainly come from agriculture, food processing, forestry, packaging, and logistics, but fields such as research, education, and technology are also represented. The primary visitors are experts, buyers, industry representatives, and investors seeking new business partners, forward-looking technologies, and premium products. The combination of professional depth, international exchange, and regional roots makes the fair an important driving force for Slovenia and the entire Alpe-Adria region.
The venue impresses with its modern infrastructure, spacious exhibition areas, and a picturesque location in the heart of Europe. Thanks to excellent transport connections, Pomurski Sejem is easily accessible for both domestic and international visitors and exhibitors. The Agra Fair showcases agricultural excellence and provides a gateway for international contacts and new impulses in the green sector.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 6 days of the fair, from 24. August to 29. August 2024, about 1720 exhibitors from 35 countries and 100000 visitors on the Agra in Gornja Radgona.
The 63rd edition of the Agra takes place on 6 days from Sat., 23.08.2025 to Thur., 28.08.2025 in Gornja Radgona.
