Art Days Sehnde

The Sehnde Art Days (Kunsttage Sehnden), held annually in March since their inception in 2009, have become an essential part of the region's cultural life. Organized by Stadt Events GmbH in Hanover, they offer local and regional artists an excellent opportunity to present their handicrafts to a wide audience. The event is hosted at the Sehnde School Center (KGS), which is transformed into a vibrant art gallery for the occasion. Here, visitors have the chance to delve into the diverse aspects of handicraft.

The range of exhibits at the Sehnde Art Days includes a wide array of items, such as high-quality works made from wood, glass, ceramics, paper, fabric, and other materials. From garden and decorative items to colorful jewelry and textile accessories, including Easter decorations, the fair has something to suit every taste. Additionally, exhibitors provide insights into various working techniques and are available for detailed information about their crafts.

A special highlight is the Artists' Café, offering a vast selection of homemade cakes and pies for a pleasant break. Alongside painting and floristry, visitors can also find straw articles, glass art, scroll saw work, and ceramics for home and garden. Textile accessories like scarves, hats, headbands, and bags, paper art, natural soaps, photography, gift boxes, bottle lamps, metal forging, silk painting, cloth dolls, teddies, light spheres, decoupage, silk flowers, sculptures for indoors and outdoors, and a variety of jewelry options, including pieces made from stainless steel, glass, and old cutlery, complete the offerings.

The Sehnde Art Days serve not only as a platform for exhibition and sale but also as a forum for exchange among artists, craftsmen, and visitors.
