The Atlantic Fair is an international exhibition specializing in the fishing and maritime industries. Since its inception in 2000, the event has established itself as a central occasion in the industry. It is held at the Klaksvikar Itrottardepil in Klaksvík, the second-largest city of the Faroe Islands, and takes place biennially in May, attracting numerous exhibitors and visitors.
The fair is organized by Atlantic Fair SpF, an organization dedicated to promoting the maritime industry. The main topics of the exhibition include the latest developments in fishing, shipbuilding, safety systems, and marine research. A wide range of products and services are showcased, including ship equipment, navigation systems, engines, nets, lifeboats, communication devices, and much more.
The fair significantly contributes to the local economy of the Faroe Islands and serves as a platform for exchanging expertise and forging new business contacts. Highlights include the presentation of innovative products and conferences with experts who recognize outstanding achievements in the industry.
Participants of the Atlantic Fair come from various sectors of the maritime industry, including fishing, shipbuilding, and research and development.
The Klaksvikar Itrottardepil, a modern exhibition and event center, is ideally tailored to the needs of the Atlantic Fair. Klaksvík is easily accessible by direct flight from Copenhagen or by ferry from Hirtshals in Denmark, facilitating the arrival of international participants and promoting networking and cooperation among global players in the maritime industry, thereby strengthening the importance of the Faroe Islands in this sector.
The Atlantic Fair will take place on 3 days from Tuesday, 19. May to Thursday, 21. May 2026 in Klaksvík.
