The Babydays in Kortrijk is a public fair held annually in September and is considered one of the most comprehensive and informative events for (expecting) parents in Belgium. It is organized by CDC Events Sprl, based in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve. The fair is aimed at families, pregnant women, new parents, and professionals working with children. The event takes place at the Tranzit Hall in Kortrijk – a modern venue known for its central location, easy accessibility, and welcoming atmosphere.
What sets Babydays apart is its successful blend of information, advice, and a unique shopping experience. Visitors can explore a wide range of leading brands and suppliers specializing in baby and toddler products. They also benefit from numerous free samples, special discounts, exclusive gifts, and the popular Baby Pack, which is available only at this event.
The fair focuses on all topics related to pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, and the early years of a child’s life. It offers an interactive and educational experience where products can not only be viewed but also tested, with expert guidance available throughout. The selection includes maternity wear, strollers, car seats, baby carriers, furniture for the nursery, and sustainable clothing and toys inspired by Montessori and Pikler principles.
Particular emphasis is placed on baby care, breastfeeding, nutrition, and everyday safety. Experts are on hand to answer individual questions, for example, regarding the best choice of baby monitors or how to baby-proof the home with stair gates and socket protectors. Practical solutions for travel and leisure, such as portable high chairs or travel cots, are also featured.
The product offering is complemented by a range of services – from professional baby photography and first aid courses for children to consultations on birth bonuses, parental leave, and tax benefits. Current issues such as sustainability are also addressed, with exhibitors offering reusable diapers, second-hand clothing, and eco-friendly baby fashion.
Another highlight is the supporting program of talks, workshops, and interactive formats, designed for both expecting parents and young families. Key topics include breastfeeding, birth preparation, baby sleep, and emotional support during pregnancy.
The Babydays in Kortrijk is far more than a traditional trade fair – it offers guidance, inspiration, and a space for meaningful exchange at the beginning of family life. Children under 12 enjoy free admission – a clear reflection of the event’s family-friendly spirit.
The Babydays in Kortrijk took place from Saturday, 20. September to Sunday, 21. September 2025.
