Bildungsmesse Inn-Salzach Mühldorf a.Inn

The Inn-Salzach Education Fair is a joint initiative of the districts of Altötting and Mühldorf am Inn, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria, and the District Crafts Association Altötting–Mühldorf. The organiser of the 2024 Inn-Salzach Education Fair is the district of Mühldorf am Inn. Since 2006, the fair has been held annually, alternating between the districts of Altötting and Mühldorf am Inn.

Its aim is to bring together school pupils and individuals interested in further education with training companies, universities and continuing education providers from across the region. In doing so, it presents the full breadth of educational and training opportunities available locally. The focus is on direct, personal contact—between companies and prospective apprentices, and between education providers and those seeking further training. Each year, more than 100 exhibitors present their offerings to around 5,000 visitors over the course of two days.

The project is delivered jointly by the districts of Mühldorf am Inn and Altötting, thereby covering the entire region. The Inn-Salzach Education Fair provides pupils with an ideal platform to explore the full range of vocational training opportunities at an early stage. At the same time, it offers companies the chance to showcase themselves to school leavers, and enables universities and providers of further education or dual study programmes to engage directly with prospective graduates.

With its strong regional focus, the fair primarily serves the catchment area of the participating districts, offering future school leavers—from secondary modern schools, intermediate schools, grammar schools, and upper secondary vocational schools—a wide-ranging source of guidance for career choice. Pupils have the opportunity to meet representatives from businesses and educational institutions, establish valuable contacts, and arrange internships or apprenticeships. A varied supporting programme complements the two days of the fair with a wide range of informative events.
