BioNord Hamburg

BioNord is an annual trade fair for organic food, natural cosmetics, and health products. Since its inception in 2004, it has been held at Messe Hamburg. The event is organized by Matthias Deppe and Wolfram Müller GbR, a company known for creating high-quality, topic-specific platforms for the organic trade for over two decades.

Each autumn, Hamburg becomes a key meeting point for the organic industry. BioNord is tailored to a professional audience, including natural food retailers, health food stores, organic supermarkets, independent retailers, the foodservice industry, and large-scale consumers. It showcases innovative products, services, and forward-thinking concepts. At its core are organic food and natural cosmetics that meet strict ecological standards and are certified according to the guidelines of the Bundesverband Naturkost Naturwaren (BNN) or the Reformhaus eG.

What sets BioNord apart is its depth of content. The fair is more than just a venue for product presentation—it is a platform for dialogue. Expert talks, discussion forums, and educational campaigns address key industry topics such as sustainable packaging, resource-efficient supply chains, zero-waste shopping, and current trends in the organic sector. This creates a space for exchange, strategic inspiration, and the development of new ideas.

Alongside well-known national brands, numerous regional producers, dairies, wineries, and beekeepers are represented, adding an authentic, artisanal touch to the event. The exhibition is further enriched by a dedicated area called “ReformWelt,” which features high-quality health products. This allows BioNord to serve not only the organic trade but also the health product sector and organic gastronomy.

BioNord is part of a nationwide family of trade fairs, which includes BioSüd in Augsburg, BioWest in Düsseldorf, and BioOst in Leipzig. Together, these events cover the full geographic spectrum of the German organic trade—but BioNord remains distinctive thanks to its strong regional ties to Northern Germany.

Messe Hamburg, with its modern infrastructure, provides ideal conditions for trade visitors from across the country. Centrally located and easily accessible by public transport, highway, or air, it offers a convenient and inspiring setting.
