BioWest in Düsseldorf is a well-established regional trade fair for the organic retail sector, synonymous with quality, innovation and industry networking. The name “BioWest” reflects its specific focus on western Germany, catering in particular to stakeholders from that region. Each April, the Düsseldorf exhibition centre becomes a key meeting point for industry professionals.
The event was launched in 2013 by organisers Matthias Deppe and Wolfram Müller OHG and has quickly grown into one of the most important fixtures in the organic sector. BioWest places specialist organic retail at its core, showcasing the latest products and services that define this quality-driven segment. In addition, the exhibition has expanded to include the health food retail trade and organic foodservice.
One of the fair’s highlights is the intensive exchange of ideas and information between exhibitors and trade visitors. Exhibitors primarily come from specialist organic retail, the health food trade and the organic hospitality sector.
Visitors include not only trade professionals from these fields, but also representatives of industry associations, journalists and policymakers, all of whom use the event as a forum for dialogue and actively help shape the future of the organic sector.
BioWest is part of a family of trade fairs held across Germany, including BioOst in Leipzig, BioSüd in Augsburg and BioNord in Hamburg. Together, these events form a comprehensive network representing the organic sector as a whole.
Finally, the Düsseldorf exhibition centre provides ideal conditions for an event of this scale and importance. In the vibrant yet tradition-rich city of Düsseldorf, the fair offers not only a professional platform for the trade but also a cultural and scenic experience for all participants.
The BioWest takes place annually, and therefore for the 8th time previsibly in April 2027 in Düsseldorf.
