COMEX Oman (Computer, Telecommunications & Digital Technology Exhibition) is the leading trade fair for digital technologies and telecommunications in the Sultanate of Oman and ranks among the most significant IT events in the Middle East. Since its inception in 1990, it has evolved over more than three decades into a key platform for digital innovation, technological advancement, and international business development. The exhibition is organized by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) in cooperation with the Arabian Research Bureau (ARB) and held under the official patronage of the Sultanate of Oman, which thereby reinforces its strategic commitment to digital transformation and economic diversification.
The event takes place at the state-of-the-art Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) in Muscat, the nation’s capital. With its multifunctional halls, advanced infrastructure, and excellent transport connections, the venue provides optimal conditions for an event of this scale. COMEX is held annually and consistently attracts international exhibitors and professional visitors from across the MENA region, Europe, and Asia.
The exhibition focuses on the core challenges and opportunities of the digital future. At its heart are the so-called "Future-Ready Ecosystems," which showcase innovative developments in areas such as eGovernment, digital administration platforms, cloud-based enterprise solutions, automation, and artificial intelligence. Emerging companies are given a dedicated stage through the startup ecosystem. This offering is further enriched by forward-looking sectors like gaming & esports, as well as fintech applications involving blockchain, insurtech, and digital payment solutions.
In addition, COMEX addresses a broad spectrum of cross-sector topics, including smart cities, cybersecurity, space technology, drones, e-mobility, agritech, health tech, renewable energy, e-commerce, and career development in the ICT sector. Exhibitors present highly specialized products and services—ranging from wearables and telemedicine applications to intelligent logistics systems, AI-powered shopping assistants, and modern automation technologies.
More than just a marketplace, COMEX serves as a hub for knowledge exchange and networking. A diverse program of expert conferences, forums, and executive panels provides a platform for discussing trends in digital transformation and developing future-oriented business strategies. Highlights include the Digital Transformation Forum, the Fintech Conference, the eCommerce Forum, and various interactive networking events that foster cross-industry collaboration.
The exhibition brings together stakeholders from a wide range of sectors—including IT, telecommunications, finance, insurance, industry, agriculture, healthcare, energy, and education. Its attendees include decision-makers, IT professionals, government representatives, investors, startups, technology providers, and academic institutions, all seeking effective digital solutions.
Finally, the event location itself underscores COMEX’s role as a regional innovation hub. Muscat, a cosmopolitan and economically emerging capital, is easily accessible via Muscat International Airport and offers with the OCEC one of the most modern event venues in the region—a place where visions become reality and the future of the digital world takes shape.
The COMEX Oman takes place annually, and therefore for the 35th time previsibly in September 2026 in Muscat.
