CTW Kenya is an annual international trade fair with a strong focus on B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government) networking. It has established itself as a key platform for trade and economic exchange between China and Africa. The abbreviation “CTW” stands for “Connecting Trade Worldwide,” capturing the event’s core mission: the targeted promotion of global trade relations, with a special emphasis on the dynamic connection between Asia and Africa.
Organized by MIE EVENTS DMCC, the fair takes place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in the heart of Nairobi. This iconic landmark of the Kenyan capital is conveniently located and serves as a major meeting point for international business partners, policymakers, and investors.
The event focuses on forward-looking industries such as smart home technologies, consumer electronics, energy-efficient household appliances, and everyday consumer goods. Exhibitors showcase innovative solutions for connected living, modern packaging technologies, and design-oriented homeware. The trade fair is complemented by accompanying conferences, including the “Women in STEM Africa Summit,” which promotes female professionals in science and technology, and the “Africa E-Digital Connect Summit,” which addresses topics like digitalization, e-government, data protection, and sustainable urban development.
More than just a trade fair, CTW Kenya positions itself as a strategic event with direct relevance to Kenya’s economic development and that of the broader region. In light of the new free trade agreement between Kenya and the European Union, the event gains even more significance as a bridge between global markets and local initiatives.
Exhibitors come from a wide range of sectors, particularly electronics, household technology, packaging, e-commerce, infrastructure, and renewable energy. The fair is aimed at professional visitors from industry, commerce, public institutions, and international organizations, all seeking partnerships, distribution channels, and investment opportunities.
CTW Kenya is part of a global trade fair series held in other emerging markets, all with the shared goal of strengthening international economic ties and unlocking new markets.
Thanks to its central location, modern infrastructure, and cosmopolitan atmosphere, the KICC in Nairobi provides the perfect setting for an event that not only connects trade but also showcases innovation. Visitors can easily reach the venue by car, taxi, or public transport, all while experiencing a city that is increasingly positioning itself as one of Africa’s economic and technological powerhouses.
The CTW Kenya presents itself for the tenth anniversary edition on 3 days from Tue., 08.07.2025 to Thur., 10.07.2025 in Nairobi.
