Cafex Cairo

Cafex, a trade fair for the gastronomy industry, first opened its doors in 2014. The name "Cafex" is derived from the abbreviation for "Café Expo" and reflects the main focus of the fair: the diverse world of cafes and their industry. This annual event is organized by EME - Events Middle East, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in Cairo. It attracts a multitude of visitors and exhibitors each spring.

The fair serves as a central platform for owners, decision-makers, and operators of cafes and restaurants, especially from Egypt and the Middle East. Additionally, it appeals to future investors, industry newcomers, dealers, representatives, and sellers, primarily from the tobacco sector. The fair's wide spectrum ranges from initial setup and beautification to the renovation of cafes and restaurants. Among the products and services presented are various types of coffee, sweets, non-alcoholic beverages, bakery supplies, cleaning and hygiene items, coffee machines, food truck equipment, furniture and design, kitchen equipment, packaging, tabletops, cutlery, software, kitchen tools, devices, and uniforms.

Cafex is distinguished by its strong local relevance, reflecting and promoting Egypt's and the Middle East's gastronomy scene. Special highlights of the fair include diverse accompanying events such as lectures, seminars, and workshops, providing additional networking and knowledge exchange opportunities.

The exhibitors represent various industries associated with gastronomy. The main visitor group consists of café and restaurant operators, investors, and professionals from the gastronomy industry.

On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 3 days of the fair, from 10. March to 12. March 2022, about 135 exhibitors and 14500 visitors on the Cafex in Cairo.

The eleventh edition of the Cafex takes place on 3 days from Mon., 19.05.2025 to Wed., 21.05.2025 in Cairo.
