The Caspian Mining Expo is an international trade exhibition for mining, mining technology, mineral processing and investment, and is regarded as Azerbaijan’s first dedicated mining exhibition. It is held at the Baku Expo Center in Baku and organised by Intro Exhibition & Conference (IntroFair), an international organiser of trade exhibitions and conferences.
The Caspian Mining Expo covers the entire value chain of modern mining. The exhibition showcases machinery and equipment for both open-pit and underground mining, drilling, exploration and geological technologies, as well as systems for crushing, grinding, screening, conveying and mineral processing. Other exhibits include heavy construction machinery, tunnelling equipment, conveyor systems, pumps and valves, and energy and infrastructure solutions. Further key areas include ore processing and beneficiation technologies, digitalisation, automation, AI-based applications and smart mining solutions. The portfolio is complemented by occupational safety and environmental technologies, together with engineering, consultancy, planning and project management services. The exhibition therefore caters not only to traditional mining companies but also to suppliers from the mechanical and plant engineering, construction, energy, infrastructure, logistics, automation and industrial digitalisation sectors.
Particular emphasis is placed on raw materials of strategic importance to Azerbaijan’s growing mining and metallurgical sector. These include gold, silver, copper and iron ore, as well as other metallic and industrial minerals. This regional focus is a defining feature of the exhibition, reflecting Azerbaijan’s investment in the development of new mineral deposits, the modernisation of existing facilities and the expansion of ore-processing capacity.
The Caspian Mining Expo is a B2B trade event designed specifically for industry professionals. Key visitor groups include representatives of mining and raw materials companies, mine and processing plant operators, engineers, geologists, project developers, procurement professionals and investors. The event also attracts construction and tunnelling companies, infrastructure operators, technology providers and representatives of government institutions. For exhibitors, it provides an opportunity to present machinery, equipment and technologies directly to a professional audience, establish relationships with regional distribution partners and build contacts with decision-makers and project teams from Azerbaijan and the wider Caucasus and Caspian regions.
Alongside the exhibition itself, a supporting programme of conferences and presentations by international industry experts forms an integral part of the event. The Caspian Mining Expo therefore serves not only as a platform for showcasing new products and technologies, but also as a forum for professional exchange on current industry developments, investment projects and the future of the mining sector.
By bringing together mining technology, mineral extraction, processing technologies, digitalisation, engineering and investment, the Caspian Mining Expo has positioned itself as an important meeting point for companies seeking access to Azerbaijan’s growing mining market and business opportunities across the Caucasus and Caspian regions.
The event takes place at the Baku Expo Center, 515 Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Baku, one of the Azerbaijani capital’s leading exhibition venues. The centre is conveniently located near Heydar Aliyev International Airport and can be reached by car or public transport. From the airport, visitors can take the Airport Express H1 to Koroğlu and continue to the exhibition centre on bus route 184.
The Caspian Mining Expo will take place on 3 days from Wednesday, 31. March to Friday, 02. April 2027 in Baku.
