EURO EXPO Kiruna is a specialist industrial trade fair organised by European Exposition Systems AB, based in Gävle, Sweden, which has been running the event series since 1997. More than simply a European industry exhibition, EURO EXPO represents an innovative trade fair concept designed to connect industrial companies with key regional business hubs across Scandinavia. In Kiruna, the event takes place every two years at Arena Arctica.
As a highly focused industry platform, EURO EXPO is aimed exclusively at trade visitors from industry, manufacturing, engineering and procurement. Companies specialising in areas such as mechanical engineering, automation, robotics, sensor technology, maintenance and occupational safety showcase their latest products, services and technological developments. The event is designed to facilitate direct engagement between exhibitors and qualified decision-makers, from design engineers and purchasing managers to those responsible for production, operations and engineering.
Key themes include the digitalisation of industrial processes, Industry 4.0, sustainable technologies, energy efficiency and the circular economy. These topics are particularly relevant in Kiruna, a region of major importance for mining, raw materials extraction and industrial development. Extensive industrial activity across northern Sweden, combined with a growing focus on sustainable manufacturing and energy solutions, makes the region an attractive location for innovative technologies.
EURO EXPO therefore sees itself not merely as a product exhibition, but as a platform for forward-looking solutions that are helping to shape the transformation of industry. Companies from across Scandinavia – from specialist suppliers to systems providers – use the event to showcase practical solutions for manufacturing, maintenance, operations, automation and engineering design.
The event's regional focus also creates close links between exhibitors and visitors. Companies operating in mining, mechanical and plant engineering, energy and technical services have the opportunity to discover new products and solutions first-hand and engage directly with suppliers. This creates an efficient, business-focused environment that facilitates direct communication and streamlined decision-making.
As part of an established series of trade fairs held at various locations across Sweden and Norway, EURO EXPO provides a cost-effective and targeted way for exhibitors to reach prospective customers within their own regions. Rather than concentrating exclusively on major international exhibition centres, the concept brings suppliers of industrial solutions directly to key business and industrial regions throughout Scandinavia.
Arena Arctica in Kiruna provides a fitting venue for the event. Located in one of northern Sweden's most important industrial regions, it gives exhibitors direct access to companies and industry professionals from Kiruna and the surrounding area. Connections via Kiruna Airport, together with the regional road and rail network, also make the venue readily accessible from other parts of Sweden and Scandinavia.
EURO EXPO at Arena Arctica thus combines direct access to a strategically important industrial market with a compact and effective trade fair experience in a region that plays a key role in mining, raw materials, technology and the industrial transformation of northern Sweden.
The EURO EXPO will take place on 2 days from Wednesday, 04. November to Thursday, 05. November 2026 in Kiruna.
