Einstieg Leipzig/Halle Schkeuditz

The “Einstieg Leipzig/Halle” fair in Schkeuditz is an annual public event held each fall and ranks among the most important platforms for career and study orientation in central Germany. Since its founding in 2008—originally under the name “Horizon Mitteldeutschland”—and its integration into the nationwide fair concept of Einstieg GmbH in 2016, the event has aimed to ease the transition from school to vocational training or university for young people.

Organized by Einstieg GmbH, based in Cologne, a seasoned provider of educational events, the fair brings together students, school graduates, parents, teachers, and industry professionals at the GLOBANA Campus Messe & Event in Schkeuditz near Leipzig. This modern venue, located close to Leipzig/Halle Airport, offers an ideal infrastructure for a wide range of exhibitors and a diverse supporting program.

The focus is on guiding students after graduation. Visitors receive in-depth information about university programs, vocational training paths, dual study models, internships, and opportunities to go abroad. Particularly valuable is the direct contact with representatives from universities, colleges, vocational schools, companies, associations, ministries, and organizations such as the Federal Employment Agency. These personal interactions offer genuine insights and create connections that go far beyond what can be gained through digital research alone.

The program is further enriched by a variety of hands-on and informative activities. Presentations, panel discussions, and talks address current developments in career orientation. Interactive elements such as hands-on stations, a personal interests and strengths check, and themed tours through the exhibition hall provide additional guidance and inspiration for decision-making.

A special highlight is the “Golden Ticket”: selected applicants are invited to a direct interview with an exhibitor—a unique opportunity to immediately apply for an apprenticeship or a dual study position.

Thanks to its clear thematic focus, in-person engagement, and emphasis on the post-graduation phase, Einstieg Leipzig/Halle offers practical and well-structured guidance for young people—right in the heart of the dynamic Leipzig/Halle education and business region.

This year the Einstieg Leipzig/Halle on Sat., 25.10.2025 in Schkeuditz takes place already for the thirteenth time.
