Ahoy Rotterdam

The Ahoy Rotterdam is located in The Netherlands’ second biggest city. Europe’s biggest indoor event centre accommodates sport events, trade fairs, concerts and congresses. Thus the ABN AMRO tennis tournament and the North Sea Jazz Festival annually take place in the centre. In 1998 the architect Benthem Crowel extended the building that is only 5 km away from Rotterdam’s city centre. Also the public transportation, the airport and the train station are easily accessible in a few minutes. Rotterdam has 600.000 inhabitants and with an area of 11km² possesses the world’s biggest seaport. This makes the city one of the most important trading and industrial centres of Europe. But the European Capital of Culture also attracts many visitors through its various sights like the Euromast and leisure activities like a harbour cruise.
