The Fair for model building in Ried im Innkreis is an annual event organized in October by Messe Ried GmbH. A particular emphasis is placed on the largest model exhibition in the German-speaking region for plastic and cardboard model-making. Besides the display of hundreds of models, the fair also offers numerous shopping opportunities and workshops. There are specially designed areas for young people, where they can gather their first model-making experiences under professional guidance. Daily workshops on railway model-making and special workshops for plastic and cardboard model-making are included in the admission fee.
A highlight of the fair is the Salzachtal Model Park Railway e.V., which invites attendees for rides in the FACC SKY DOME. Experienced pilots showcase their flying skills on a spacious indoor airfield, while the Nitrofighter Lambrechten club presents thrilling car racetracks.
