Food Matters Live London is an international B2B trade event dedicated to innovation across the food, beverage, nutrition and nutraceutical industries. It showcases the latest developments, emerging technologies and innovative solutions shaping the future of food, nutrition and health. Aimed primarily at industry professionals, the event provides a platform for knowledge exchange, product development and building new business relationships.

Food Matters Live London takes place at Olympia London, one of the capital’s long-established exhibition and event venues. Organised by Food Matters Live Ltd., the event is held annually, typically over two days in June. In addition to London, Food Matters Live also takes place in Rotterdam.

The event focuses on the intersection of food innovation, health, nutrition, consumer trends and product development. Key areas include Food & Consumer Trends, Positive Nutrition and Functional Food, innovative ingredients and New Product Development (NPD), taste, colour and sensory science, as well as emerging technologies for research and development. Particular attention is given to metabolic health, gut health and the microbiome, dietary fibre, personalised nutrition, women’s health, sustainable ingredients and the use of artificial intelligence in new food product development. A central theme is how companies can create products that successfully balance health, sustainability, taste, convenience and competitive pricing.

Exhibitors showcase innovative ingredients, functional foods and beverages, flavours, natural and functional colours, and solutions for texture and formulation. Other areas include prebiotics and probiotics, dietary fibre, botanical ingredients, algae, functional dairy products and a range of bioactive compounds. The exhibition also features technologies and services supporting product development, research, quality assurance, manufacturing and commercialisation. It is therefore particularly relevant to companies looking to develop new formulations, optimise existing products or translate emerging consumer and nutrition trends into commercially viable products.

A key feature of the event is “Tastes of Better”, where international ingredient suppliers present new ingredients, applications and product concepts. Tastings and practical demonstrations give industry visitors the opportunity to experience new flavours, textures, colours and formulations first-hand and discuss them directly with the development teams behind them. Roundtables and masterclasses complement the programme, providing further opportunities for industry exchange and knowledge sharing.

“NutraConnect” adds a dedicated area focused on nutraceuticals and health ingredients. Key topics include prebiotics, probiotics, dietary fibre, botanical ingredients, functional dairy, algae and novel bioactive compounds. Masterclasses and “Meet the Buyer” sessions are designed to connect suppliers directly with product developers and buyers. The Private Label Pavilion provides an additional focus on private-label products, new product concepts, formulations, manufacturing capabilities and market-ready solutions addressing current health, consumer and market trends.

Exhibitors are drawn primarily from the food and beverage industry, the ingredients and raw materials sector, nutraceuticals and supplements, food technology, research and development, private-label manufacturing and specialist service providers. Food Matters Live is aimed particularly at product developers and NPD teams, R&D specialists, nutrition and innovation professionals, buyers, quality professionals and decision-makers from food, beverage and nutraceutical companies. Its strong B2B focus clearly distinguishes the event from consumer-facing exhibitions.

Olympia London further reinforces the international character of Food Matters Live. The historic exhibition venue in West Kensington is one of London’s best-known event locations and is easily accessible by public transport, particularly via Kensington (Olympia) station. Food Matters Live therefore combines an international platform for food innovation with the advantages of London as one of Europe’s leading business and exhibition centres.

The Food Matters Live will take place on 2 days from Wednesday, 16. June to Thursday, 17. June 2027 in London.
