Giardina is Switzerland’s leading trade fair for high-quality garden design and stylish outdoor living. Since its founding in 1997, it has established itself as a premier platform for garden enthusiasts, professionals, and businesses. The name “Giardina” is derived from the Italian word Giardino (garden), reflecting a passion for creative and innovative outdoor design.
Every spring, the MCH Messe Schweiz (Messe Zürich) transforms into a hub of inspiration for garden culture, landscape architecture, and sustainable greening. Organized by MCH Messe Schweiz (Basel) AG, the fair brings together nature, design, and craftsmanship in a unique showcase.
Giardina captivates visitors with a diverse range of themes—from elegant design concepts for gardens, terraces, and balconies to innovative urban gardening solutions and luxurious outdoor wellness areas featuring water landscapes. Sustainability and biodiversity take center stage, offering insights into eco-friendly plant selections and tailored solutions for individual garden projects. The exhibition is complemented by exclusive garden furniture, outdoor kitchens, and gourmet experiences.
One of the highlights is the show gardens, where renowned landscape architects and garden design firms present stunning full-scale (1:1) concepts. These meticulously crafted installations showcase the latest trends and creative possibilities, ranging from sleek, minimalist designs to lush, naturalistic gardens. An engaging program of lectures, workshops, and expert discussions further enriches the experience, covering topics such as sustainable urban greening, edible gardens, and wildlife-friendly habitats.
Exhibitors include companies from a variety of industries, including gardening, landscape architecture, furniture and design manufacturing, plant cultivation, water features, and outdoor culinary experiences. The fair attracts both private visitors and industry professionals—garden owners, architects, landscape designers, and urban planners use the event to stay informed on emerging trends and establish valuable business connections.
As one of Europe’s most important garden fairs, Giardina sets standards not only in Switzerland but also on an international level. It stands out with its unique combination of high-quality exhibits, forward-thinking concepts, and immersive garden culture.
The Messe Zürich offers a first-class venue with modern facilities and a central location. Its excellent transport connections and proximity to Zurich Airport make it easily accessible for both national and international visitors. The city itself, with its charming old town, lakeside promenade, and rich cultural scene, invites guests to extend their stay and enjoy an inspiring visit.
The Giardina will take place on 5 days from Wednesday, 11. March to Sunday, 15. March 2026 in Zurich.
