HAL ART is an annual art fair in Halle an der Saale, which was launched in 2017. It is organized by HÄNDEL HALLE Betriebsgesellschaft mbH from Leipzig. The fair offers access to both trade visitors and private art enthusiasts and is primarily aimed at a national audience.
Various art forms are represented at HAL ART, including ceramics, conceptual art, sculptures, applied and fine art, graphics and painting. More than 90 exhibitors, consisting of artists, artist communities and galleries from up to ten federal states, present their works on an exhibition area of over 1,500 square meters in the Georg-Friedrich-Händel-Halle. The variety of works on display ranges from painting, graphics and photography to drawing and sculpture to jewelry. The fair is accompanied by a comprehensive supporting programme, which includes demonstrations, lectures and discussion rounds.
The Georg-Friedrich-Händel-Halle, centrally located in the heart of Halle's old town, is the venue for the fair. It is easily accessible by public transport, as both Halle's main train station and long-distance bus connections are in the immediate vicinity. For visitors arriving by car, there are numerous parking options available, including the underground car parks at the Spitze and Hallmarkt, as well as paid parking spaces in the surrounding area, for example at Glauchaer Platz and Hackebornstrasse.
HAL ART has established itself as an integral part of the German art landscape and offers visitors not only the opportunity to purchase works of art, but also to delve deeper into the current art scene and exchange ideas with artists and experts. An event catalogue accompanies the art fair, which offers a comprehensive overview of the exhibitors and their works.
The HAL ART in Halle took place from Friday, 08. November to Sunday, 10. November 2024.
