Since its launch in 1996, HI-TECH has established itself as one of Russia’s leading trade fairs for advanced technologies and industrial innovation. Held annually at the ExpoForum Convention & Exhibition Centre in St Petersburg, it brings together developers, manufacturers, system integrators, investors and senior decision-makers from across the high-tech sector.
The event is organised by Restec Exhibition Company, one of Russia’s foremost exhibition organisers specialising in technology-focused trade events.
HI-TECH covers a broad yet highly specialised range of topics. Its core focus includes industrial innovation, advanced materials, robotics, nanotechnology, additive manufacturing and biotechnology. These areas are complemented by microelectronics and electronic components, digital technologies, industrial IT systems and plant and process automation. Automation and control engineering, virtual and augmented reality applications for manufacturing, machine vision, wireless technologies, security solutions, environmental technologies and contemporary industrial design also form integral parts of the exhibition profile. The event positions itself as a platform that brings together research, development and industrial application in a targeted and practical way.
Exhibitors represent sectors such as electronics and microelectronics, mechanical and plant engineering, automation, IT and software development, robotics, materials science, biotechnology, communications technology and digital manufacturing. Products and solutions on display include high-precision components, intelligent sensor systems, collaborative robotics, 3D printing systems, nanomaterials, industrial software platforms and control and process control systems. Engineering services, R&D partnerships and technology transfer initiatives also play a central role.
Visitors are drawn primarily from industrial enterprises, research institutes, design and development departments, government-backed innovation programmes and the investment community. The audience includes senior engineers, technical specialists and executives responsible for production, automation, electronics development, digital transformation and corporate strategy. For them, the exhibition offers market-ready solutions, direct access to technology providers and a concise overview of the state of innovation in Russia and neighbouring markets.
A key feature of the programme is the competition and awards ceremony recognising outstanding innovative projects and scientific and technical achievements. These awards are widely regarded within Russia’s high-tech community and actively promote technology transfer between research institutions and industry. As such, HI-TECH serves not only as a showcase for new technologies but also as a catalyst for partnerships and investment.
Located in the south of St Petersburg, the ExpoForum Convention & Exhibition Centre provides modern infrastructure, spacious exhibition halls, conference facilities and excellent transport links. Pulkovo International Airport is within easy reach, and the venue is well connected to the city centre. HI-TECH thus combines technological excellence with a professional exhibition environment in one of Eastern Europe’s most important centres of science and culture.
The Hi-Tech in Saint Petersburg took place from Tuesday, 14. April to Thursday, 16. April 2026.
