Saragossa is the capital of Aragon, and is located on the middle reaches of the river Ebro. Saragossa hosted the Expo 2008. The city's landmark is the Basilica del Pilar. Here, about 700,000 people live in an area of about 974 sq km. It is situated on 280 m above sea level.
