IFA Berlin

TheIFA, officially known as the “Internationale Funkausstellung”, has been one of the world’s most important trade fairs for consumer electronics and household appliances since its inception in 1924. Today, it serves as a central meeting point for the global technology industry. Each year, it opens its doors at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, turning the German capital into an international showcase for innovation. Organized by IFA Management GmbH, the event welcomes visitors from more than 130 countries, including leading retailers, buyers, industry experts, media representatives, and technology enthusiasts.

The fair positions itself as a driving force for future technologies. Its focus areas include AI-powered innovations, immersive entertainment, spatial computing, sustainability, health technology, gaming, content creation, smart home solutions, robotics, next-generation display technologies, 6G, and future-proof connectivity. The IFA is closely intertwined with Berlin and European technology history. It has been the stage for groundbreaking premieres such as the tube radio receiver, Europe’s first car radio, and the introduction of color television. A historic highlight came in 1930, when Albert Einstein, then living and working in Berlin, officially opened the fair. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 5 days of the fair, from 01. September to 05. September 2023, about 2200 exhibitors and 182000 visitors from 139 countries on the IFA in Berlin.
