INCHEM Tokyo is one of the most important trade fairs for the chemical industry in Japan and beyond. Since its inception in 1966, it has established itself as an international B2B platform. Held every two years, the event brings together professionals from the fields of chemical process engineering, plant construction, environmental technology, and industrial digitalization in Tokyo. The venue is Tokyo Big Sight—one of the largest and most modern exhibition centers in Asia—offering optimal conditions for international industry events.
The trade fair is organized by the Japan Management Association in collaboration with the Society of Chemical Engineers Japan, two leading institutions representing business and academia. This partnership ensures that INCHEM Tokyo not only reflects current industrial developments but also fosters exchange between practical applications, research, and development.
The event is characterized by a clearly structured yet comprehensive thematic focus. Central to the exhibition are technologies, products, and services covering the entire chemical value chain—with a particular emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and safety. Alongside established processes and components such as pumps, valves, reactors, and filtration systems, the fair also showcases forward-looking approaches like digital process optimization, artificial intelligence, IIoT, big data, and sustainable production and environmental technologies.
The content is divided into four specialized areas: The Plant Engineering Show targets the process industry; the Innovative Products Show highlights developments in materials research and product innovation; the Innovation in Water Management Show focuses on solutions for water and wastewater treatment; and the ECO-MAnufacture Show addresses topics such as energy efficiency, environmental management, and sustainable manufacturing.
A key feature of INCHEM Tokyo is the close integration of the exhibition with its supporting conference program. Accompanying the trade show are seminars, expert lectures, and presentations that explore current research findings, technological trends, and regulatory developments. This creates a platform that serves not only business development but also knowledge exchange and the generation of new ideas.
The event offers a wide range of solutions—from analytical measurement technology for laboratories and quality control, to explosion-proof safety systems, high-performance materials, and services from research institutes, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). The focus is on efficient, digitally integrated, and environmentally friendly industrial solutions.
As such, INCHEM Tokyo is an internationally recognized trade fair that serves as a central platform for key players in the chemical industry in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. Its technological focus, thematic depth, and interdisciplinary networking make it a unique event that addresses specialized audiences from research, development, production, and management with precision and relevance.
Already for the thirty-fifth time the INCHEM invites on 3 days from Wed., 17.09.2025 to Fri., 19.09.2025 in Tokyo.
