Indonesia Water and Waste Water Expo and Forum (IWWEF) Jakarta

The Indonesia Water and Waste Water Expo and Forum (IWWEF) is one of Indonesia’s leading trade events for the water sector, covering drinking water supply, wastewater treatment and sanitation. Held annually at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Jakarta, the event is aimed primarily at industry professionals and decision-makers from the water and wastewater sectors.

IWWEF is organised by PERPAMSI, Indonesia’s national association of water supply companies. The organisation represents regional water utilities and promotes cooperation, professional development and innovation, while also supporting the development of the policy and regulatory framework governing Indonesia’s water and sanitation sector.

The event focuses on drinking water supply and water treatment, wastewater treatment and sanitation, as well as water infrastructure and pipeline technology. Digitalisation and smart water solutions are also becoming increasingly important. Other key areas include asset management, sustainable water management, water security and climate adaptation, alongside regulation, governance, financing and investment in water infrastructure. These issues are particularly important for Indonesia, where improving access to safe drinking water and sanitation, while expanding and modernising the necessary infrastructure, remains a major challenge as the country continues to grow.

Across the exhibition floor, manufacturers, technology providers, engineering firms and service companies showcase solutions spanning the entire water-sector value chain. Exhibits range from water and wastewater treatment systems to pumps, pipelines, valves and water meters, as well as sensors, instrumentation and control systems, leak detection, monitoring systems and digital solutions for smart water networks. The portfolio is complemented by engineering, consultancy, financing and infrastructure services. Live product demonstrations give trade visitors the opportunity to see new technologies and equipment in operation.

One of IWWEF’s particular strengths is its combination of technology showcases, knowledge transfer and business development. Alongside the exhibition, specialist conferences, seminars and workshops address topics including emerging technologies, regulatory developments, alternative financing models, water meter standards, institutional transformation and sustainable sanitation solutions. Business-matching opportunities also facilitate targeted engagement between water utilities, manufacturers, suppliers, investors and prospective project partners.

Exhibitors primarily represent the water and wastewater technology, environmental technology, plant engineering and mechanical engineering sectors, as well as pump and valve technology, pipeline systems, instrumentation and control, digitalisation, engineering and infrastructure planning, finance and consultancy. Trade visitors include senior executives and technical specialists from regional water utilities and PDAMs, representatives of ministries and public authorities, engineers, planners, project developers, investors, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors, as well as representatives from academia and research institutions. Admission to the exhibition is specifically intended for trade visitors.

The event takes place at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in the centrally located Gelora district of Jakarta. This established convention and exhibition venue is situated in the heart of the Indonesian capital and is easily accessible via Jakarta’s main transport routes and public transport network. For international trade visitors, IWWEF therefore combines a central venue with direct access to Indonesian water utilities, public authorities, decision-makers and technology partners.

The Indonesia Water and Waste Water Expo and Forum (IWWEF) will take place on 3 days from Tuesday, 15. June to Thursday, 17. June 2027 in Jakarta.
