The International Agricultural Fair, established in 1931, is one of the most significant and longstanding agricultural trade fairs in Southeast Europe. It is held annually at the modern Novi Sad Fairgrounds, located in the heart of Novi Sad, a city in northern Serbia. The event attracts industry professionals, exhibitors, and decision-makers from around the world. The fair is organized by Novi Sad Fair, a well-established institution with decades of experience in hosting large-scale international events.
The International Agricultural Fair focuses on current developments in agriculture, livestock breeding, food processing, and agri-technology. Particular emphasis is placed on agricultural machinery, seeds, crop protection, animal feed, packaging solutions, and renewable energy in agriculture. The exhibition ranges from high-tech tractors and drones for precision farming to organic food products and regionally protected specialties such as honey, wine, and craft beer.
Firmly rooted in Serbia, the International Agricultural Fair actively contributes to the country’s economic and scientific advancement. It blends tradition with innovation, offering a platform for exchange between farmers, businesses, academia, and policymakers—both nationally and internationally. The fair promotes international cooperation through delegation meetings and thematic pavilions, such as the “EU Pavilion”, which provides information on European funding programs, sustainability standards, and new technologies.
Highlights of the fair include the national livestock exhibition featuring over 800 animals from Serbia’s genetic pool, the professional evaluation of products and services in more than 30 categories by expert juries, and the festive “Evening of Champions”, which honors outstanding achievements. Also popular is the Bio Garden—a modern showroom for urban agriculture and educational initiatives—along with a varied program of family days, competitions, and cultural events.
Exhibitors primarily represent sectors such as agricultural technology, seed production, animal feed, food processing, and packaging. The audience mainly consists of professionals from agriculture, food production, agri-trade, academia, and representatives of political institutions.
A closer look at the venue completes the picture: the Novi Sad Fairgrounds are among the largest and most modern exhibition complexes in the region. They are conveniently located and easily accessible by car and public transportation. Novi Sad—the second-largest city in Serbia—combines historic architecture, cultural diversity, and economic vitality, making it the ideal setting for an internationally significant trade fair.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 7 days of the fair, from 20. May to 26. May 2023, about 1100 exhibitors from 26 countries and 125000 visitors on the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad.
The International Agricultural Fair takes place annually, and therefore for the 93rd time previsibly in May 2026 in Novi Sad.
