International Gem & Jewelry Show - InterGem® Rosemont

The International Gem & Jewelry Show – InterGem® is a US consumer and trade show dedicated to jewellery, gemstones, minerals and related supplies. It brings manufacturers, wholesalers and designers into direct contact with trade buyers, jewellery makers, collectors and private customers. The event is organised by InterGem, Inc., which stages more than 60 shows each year across over 30 major US cities, creating a nationwide marketplace where visitors can buy directly from manufacturers, wholesalers and designers.

The Rosemont, Illinois, edition takes place several times a year as part of InterGem’s year-round show programme and is held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

InterGem’s core product categories include diamonds, precious and semi-precious gemstones, fine jewellery, gold and silver jewellery, pearls, opals, minerals and crystals. The range also covers engagement rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, watches and men’s jewellery, as well as vintage, antique and estate jewellery. Custom-made and handcrafted pieces are another important segment, alongside jewellery-making materials and supplies such as bead strands, settings, mountings, chains, charms, findings and other components. Fashion accessories, gifts and decorative items further broaden the product offering. Selected shows also provide services such as jewellery repairs and cleaning.

A key feature of InterGem is its direct-sales format. Visitors can view, compare and purchase products on site from jewellery designers, craftspeople, manufacturers and wholesalers. The event therefore combines elements of a trade show, consumer sales exhibition and large-scale jewellery marketplace. At selected shows, dedicated wholesale sections are also available to registered trade buyers, offering products and services specifically geared towards professional buyers and resellers.

Exhibitors primarily represent the jewellery and gemstone industry, jewellery design, the gemstone and mineral sector, wholesale distribution, jewellery manufacturing, crafts and the jewellery-supplies trade. Key visitor groups include jewellers, jewellery retailers and manufacturers, designers, jewellery makers, resellers and professional buyers. At the same time, the show welcomes collectors, hobby jewellery makers and private jewellery enthusiasts. This combination of B2B and B2C audiences distinguishes InterGem from conventional trade-only exhibitions.

One of the show’s defining features is the extensive selection of jewellery, gemstones and related supplies, allowing visitors to compare products from numerous vendors under one roof. Over the years, InterGem has also featured special exhibits and jewellery displays associated with well-known film stars and other celebrities. Many shows additionally offer complimentary jewellery cleaning and advice on the proper care and storage of jewellery.

Located in Rosemont, close to Chicago, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center provides an established and easily accessible venue for the International Gem & Jewelry Show. Visitors can use the Williams Street Parking Garage, among other parking facilities, which is directly connected to the convention centre by a skywalk. InterGem Rosemont therefore provides a central marketplace for discovering a diverse range of jewellery and gemstones, meeting vendors in person, and purchasing both distinctive one-of-a-kind pieces and materials for the professional jewellery trade or personal jewellery-making projects.
