The trade fair Iran food ingredients is a highly specialised industry platform for food additives, raw materials and functional ingredients. Since its launch, it has established itself as a key meeting point for Iran’s food processing industry. As part of a broader exhibition network, it is aimed specifically at trade visitors seeking innovative solutions across the entire food production value chain.
The event takes place at the Tehran International Exhibition Center, the country’s largest and most important exhibition venue. Held annually, the fair benefits from Tehran’s strategic role as Iran’s economic and industrial hub. It is organised by fairtrade Messe und Ausstellungs GmbH & Co. KG in close cooperation with its Iranian partner Palar Samaneh Co., with additional support from government bodies such as the ministries of agriculture and economic affairs. This international collaboration underpins the event’s dynamism and high quality standards.
In terms of content, the exhibition covers a wide spectrum. Its core focus is on functional ingredients such as enzymes, vitamins, minerals and microbial cultures, alongside technical additives including emulsifiers, stabilisers, antioxidants and preservatives. The offering is complemented by specialised products such as flavourings, fragrances, plant extracts, fruit and vegetable concentrates, and semi-finished products for further processing. Niche segments, including fat replacers, propellants and innovative sweeteners, are also represented, providing a comprehensive overview of current industry developments and trends.
A particular strength lies in its co-location with the leading trade fairs Iran agro, Iran food + hospitality and Iran food + bev tec. This combination creates strong synergies between agriculture, processing technology and the marketing of finished products, making the event a central hub for business deals and strategic partnerships. Exhibitors include companies from food chemistry, agribusiness, biotechnology, as well as the beverage and confectionery sectors. Visitors are predominantly industry professionals and decision-makers from production, procurement, research and development, and wholesale.
The exhibition reflects the growing importance of the Iranian food market, driven by a young population, rising demand and increasing industrialisation.
