KazInterPower is an international trade fair for industrial power engineering, energy supply and electrical equipment in Kazakhstan. Held annually and open exclusively to trade visitors, the event provides manufacturers, technology suppliers, energy companies and industry professionals with a platform to showcase new technologies, exchange expertise and establish business contacts. It takes place at the IEC EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The event is organised by Astana-Expo KS, an exhibition company specialising in international industrial trade fairs, exhibitions and conferences in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
KazInterPower focuses on modernising energy infrastructure, ensuring reliable electricity and heat supplies, and improving energy efficiency. The exhibition covers power generation plants, machinery and equipment, electrical components, switchgear and power distribution systems, as well as technologies for industrial and municipal energy supply. Other key areas include instrumentation and control systems, digital monitoring technologies, industrial automation, and applications of artificial intelligence and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The range of exhibits also encompasses energy-saving technologies, advanced materials, industrial safety and occupational health and safety systems, alongside maintenance, repair and modernisation services for existing energy facilities. Environmental protection, emissions reduction and decarbonisation are also important aspects of the event.
With its international focus, KazInterPower addresses the current challenges facing Kazakhstan's energy sector. The country has a substantial industrial base, including energy-intensive industries such as mining, metallurgy, chemicals and mechanical engineering. The refurbishment of existing power plants, expansion of electricity grids and integration of renewable energy sources are creating new business opportunities for international technology suppliers and investors. The exhibition facilitates cooperation between domestic industrial companies and overseas equipment suppliers, contributing to the development of energy infrastructure and supply systems across Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
Exhibitors include manufacturers of power generation and electrical equipment, suppliers of automation and digitalisation solutions, and companies specialising in mechanical and plant engineering, instrumentation and control technology, and environmental engineering. Engineering consultancies, design firms, utilities, technical service providers, maintenance contractors and specialist distributors are also represented. The event primarily attracts managing directors and senior decision-makers from industrial and energy companies, power and electrical engineers, technical planners, plant managers, and maintenance and procurement professionals. Other key visitor groups include representatives of municipal utilities, operators of industrial energy facilities, project developers and specialists from energy-intensive industries.
An important part of KazInterPower is its accompanying conference programme, "Powering Tomorrow", which explores current developments and future trends in the energy industry. Topics include the modernisation of combined heat and power plants, nuclear power development, renewable energy deployment, smart grids and digital substations. Further areas of focus include artificial intelligence, robotics, industrial digitalisation, emerging energy technologies and investment in energy infrastructure. Technical presentations, technology demonstrations and discussions with industry experts provide delegates with insights into practical solutions to technical and commercial challenges.
The venue is the IEC EXPO International Exhibition Center at 53/1 Mangilik El Avenue in Astana. This modern exhibition and conference centre is located near the former EXPO 2017 site and is accessible from both Astana International Airport and the city centre by taxi or public transport.
The KazInterPower will take place on 3 days from Wednesday, 31. March to Friday, 02. April 2027 in Astana.
