The Kunststoffenbeurs is the leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry in the Benelux region. Since its founding in 1999, it has evolved into a key platform for industry professionals. Organized by Mikrocentrum, an independent foundation dedicated to knowledge transfer and industry networking, the event takes place every September at the Brabanthallen Exhibition Center in ’s-Hertogenbosch, bringing together the entire value chain of plastics processing.
The focus is on the full process chain of plastics and rubber manufacturing—from material development and modern production technologies to solutions for recycling and the circular economy. The fair is exclusively aimed at professionals, including industrial companies, research institutions, startups, as well as developers and engineers from sectors such as automotive, mechanical engineering, packaging, electronics, and construction.
The event is characterized by its thematic depth and wide technological scope. Key processes such as injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, vacuum forming, blow molding, and the increasingly important field of 3D printing are prominently featured. Leading companies showcase innovative materials—from thermoplastics, thermosets, and elastomers to bioplastics and recycled compounds—alongside additives and reinforcing agents that enhance the performance of modern plastics.
A special emphasis is placed on sustainability. The exhibition highlights the latest developments in recycling technologies, the use of recyclates, and design concepts that support a functional circular economy, such as "design for recycling". In a time when environmental responsibility plays a central role in industry, the fair presents practical approaches to combining efficiency, innovation, and ecological awareness.
A highlight of the event is the "Rethink Plastics Awards", which honor forward-thinking ideas and sustainable innovations within the sector. In this way, the Kunststoffenbeurs is not only a showcase for current technologies but also a driver of innovation and future developments in the plastics industry.
Exhibitors range from machinery and material manufacturers to mold and toolmakers, as well as providers of software solutions, automation systems, and measurement technologies. The offering is further complemented by engineering services, educational programs, research initiatives, and activities from industry associations, providing a comprehensive overview of the latest trends and practical solutions in plastics processing.
The Brabanthallen in ’s-Hertogenbosch, a modern exhibition venue with excellent infrastructure, offers the ideal setting for the event. The city itself—rich in history, canals, and an open, welcoming atmosphere—adds to the overall experience of the trade fair.
More than just a trade show, the Kunststoffenbeurs is a central meeting point for knowledge exchange, technological innovation, and sustainable momentum in the plastics industry of the Benelux region and beyond.
The Kunststoffenbeurs takes place annually, and therefore for the twenty-seventh time previsibly in September 2026 in s-Hertogenbosch.
