LAND & FORST Wieselburg is an annual trade and public fair and one of the most important industry events for agriculture and forestry in Lower Austria. Organized by Messe Wieselburg GmbH, it takes place at the modern Wieselburg Exhibition Center, conveniently located in the heart of Lower Austria. This central location makes it easily accessible for both national and international exhibitors and professional visitors. The fair offers an exceptionally wide yet industry-specific range of topics, focusing on current challenges, innovative approaches, and forward-looking solutions—from sustainable agriculture to digitalized forestry systems.
At its core, the event highlights modern technologies and future-oriented concepts such as smart farming, climate-adapted agriculture, and alternative income strategies for farms. A particular highlight is the INNOVATION FARM, a competence center for advanced agricultural technologies focusing on sensor systems, drone technology, artificial intelligence, and circular economy models. Complementing this is the concept of the energy self-sufficient farm, presented through practical lectures and discussions. The market gardening section, emphasizing regional cultivation and short transport routes, offers valuable insights into sustainable food systems.
In the forestry sector, visitors can explore a comprehensive forestry center featuring state-of-the-art technology, impressive live machinery demonstrations, and hands-on discussions about sustainable forest management and efficient resource use. The “Future Forest” program focuses specifically on the importance of climate-friendly technologies in the forestry sector.
Beyond its professional focus, the fair also offers a wide variety of experiences. The interactive “Wild.Live! Mobil” area introduces families and children to local wildlife and plant species. The “Adventure Hunting” zone provides exciting insights into modern hunting equipment, wildlife observation, and gamekeeping. Film screenings, in collaboration with Wildfilm Austria, offer additional perspectives on wildlife behavior and contemporary hunting practices.
A technical highlight of the event is the Live Test Center, where visitors can try out tractors, ATVs, and other agricultural machinery directly on site. A major crowd-puller is the Eurojack, a thrilling timber sports competition featuring sawing, chopping, and climbing disciplines that attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The extensive professional program is rounded out by family-friendly activities. In the Children’s Discovery Hall, agricultural knowledge is shared through play, while live cooking shows—such as the AMA Grill Show—present regional products in a delicious light. Evening music and cabaret events, featuring artists like Petutschnig Hons, add extra entertainment to the fair.
LAND & FORST Wieselburg uniquely combines expert knowledge, hands-on experiences, and social interaction—year after year. It is aimed at companies, organizations, and individuals offering or seeking products, services, or consulting in the fields of agricultural and forestry technology, livestock, crop production, grassland management, energy generation, and professional development. Its depth of content, broad thematic scope, and blend of knowledge and experience make it an essential event for anyone looking to actively shape the future of agriculture and forestry.
The LAND & FORST in Wieselburg took place from Thursday, 22. May to Sunday, 25. May 2025.
