Maqpaper, the international fair of suppliers for the pulp, paper and corrugated cardboard industry, taking place biannually at the Fairground l’Escorxador of Igualada, is the only event of its kind in Spain. Over the years, the fair has become an institution within the industry, that can count on to the leading manufacturers and suppliers of the paper industry, such as Voith paper, Metso, Ferpal, Andritz, Basalan, Nalco Spanish, CELPAP, Valmet, Porteca Paper and Bellmer. In addition, workshops and conferences on current topics are offered, manufacturers of machines, clothing, chemicals and dyes present their products and there is the opportunity to talk to quality managers and laboratory experts. In order to include the aspect of energy consumption and energy costs incurred in the paper industry, the Maqpaper is combined with the energy fair Energètica. In this way, valuable synergy effects in terms of energy efficiency and energy saving potentials can be achieved in the exchange of knowledge and the establishment of business relations between the two sectors.
