The Mega Electricity KENYA Expo is an international B2B trade fair for electricity, power generation, power supply and modern energy technologies in Kenya. The event serves as a specialised business and technology platform for companies, investors, planners and decision-makers active in the growing energy and infrastructure markets of Kenya and East Africa.
The exhibition is held annually at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, a major exhibition and events venue in the Westlands district. It is organised by Elan Expo, an international trade fair organiser based in Istanbul.
The Mega Electricity KENYA Expo covers the entire value chain of the modern power and energy industry. Key areas include power generation, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, solar power, hydropower, smart grids, energy efficiency, energy management, power electronics, as well as automation, measurement, control and instrumentation technologies. Another major focus is electrical infrastructure for industry, buildings and large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. The exhibition therefore combines conventional electrical engineering with renewable energy, digitalisation and intelligent power supply systems.
The product range extends from transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, substations and power distribution systems to solar modules, cables, wiring, insulation and installation materials, electricity meters, smart meters, and automation and process control systems. Other exhibits include lighting technologies, smart building systems, HVAC components, and solutions for energy efficiency, energy management, and the monitoring and control of electrical installations. In addition to technical products, the exhibition features engineering, consultancy, maintenance and servicing, as well as training and professional development services. EPC services and turnkey project solutions are also represented.
Key features of the exhibition include the presentation of new technologies and products, the development of business and distribution partnerships, and professional exchange between manufacturers, project developers, planners, contractors and professional buyers. Accompanying industry conferences promote knowledge transfer and discussion of current developments in the power and energy sector. Particular emphasis is placed on business development, networking, technology transfer and the presentation of practical solutions for energy and infrastructure projects.
Exhibitors primarily represent the electrical engineering and energy industries, renewable energy technologies, the solar sector, power electronics, automation and control technology, the cable and electrical installation industry, lighting technology, building automation, HVAC, and plant and infrastructure engineering. The exhibition is complemented by consultancy, maintenance, training and engineering companies, as well as providers of EPC services and turnkey solutions. The event is aimed particularly at utilities, electrical and construction companies, EPC contractors, engineering and planning consultancies, project and property developers, government bodies, consultants, distributors, wholesalers and industrial end users. It is especially relevant to professionals and senior executives responsible for procurement, investment and project decisions in the energy, building and infrastructure sectors.
With its clear focus on professional users and the dynamic East African energy market, the Mega Electricity KENYA Expo provides a focused platform for discovering new technologies, meeting suppliers and business partners, and comparing solutions for power generation, grid infrastructure, renewable energy and smart buildings. The Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi's Westlands business district provides an established venue with good access to the city's main transport routes. The exhibition brings international energy and electrical engineering suppliers together with stakeholders from one of East Africa's most important economic regions, providing a direct meeting point for companies involved in developing modern, efficient and increasingly sustainable energy infrastructure in Kenya and the wider region.
The Mega Electricity KENYA Expo will take place on 3 days from Tuesday, 13. October to Thursday, 15. October 2026 in Nairobi.
