Mineral & Gem Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines

Mineral & Gem is one of the world’s most significant trade fairs for minerals, gemstones, fossils, meteorites, and jewelry. Held annually since its founding in 1962, it has become a key meeting point for professionals, collectors, and enthusiasts alike. The name of the fair symbolizes its two main focuses: “Minerals” representing raw materials, fossils, and equipment, and “Gems” referring to cut gemstones, jewelry design, and fine craftsmanship.

The event takes place in the picturesque town of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines in the Alsace region, nestled in the heart of the Val d’Argent. With a rich mining history that includes deposits of silver, cobalt, zinc, and arsenic, the location offers an authentic and historically grounded setting. The fair is held at the centrally located Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines Center, which provides easy access and modern infrastructure. It is organized by SPL EVA, whose extensive experience ensures smooth and professional execution.

Mineral & Gem stands out for its thematic depth and international reach. As the second-largest mineral fair in the world—after Tucson—it brings together around 1,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries. The exhibition showcases exclusive collector’s items, scientific discoveries, modern tools, and equipment for working with mineral-based materials.
