The Minsk International Exhibition Centre (IEC) was officially inaugurated on May 8, 2025. This state-of-the-art exhibition complex is located in the rapidly developing “Northern Shore” district, in the northern part of Minsk, the capital of Belarus, at 24 P. Medelki Street. With a population of over two million, Minsk is the political, economic, and cultural heart of Belarus. Strategically positioned in the western part of the East European Plain, between Poland and Russia, the city reflects a unique historical blend. Shaped by the devastation of World War II and the subsequent Soviet-era reconstruction, Minsk today impresses with its monumental architecture, wide boulevards, and notable landmarks such as Victory Square, the National Art Museum, and the futuristic National Library building. Covering a total area of 37,000 square meters, the IEC ranks among the largest and most modern exhibition centers in the region. It features two expansive exhibition halls, measuring 6,000 and 8,600 square meters respectively, with ceiling heights reaching up to 14 meters. These are complemented by versatile conference and event spaces with seating for up to 1,886 guests, along with generous areas for reception, dining, and technical support. A striking architectural feature of the complex is its design, inspired by the shape of a soaring stork—the national symbol of Belarus, representing progress and national identity. Beyond its symbolic form, the building also showcases engineering excellence, including column-free halls with spans exceeding 60 meters—an impressive achievement in structural design and functionality. The center has quickly established itself as a key venue in Eastern Europe. Even before its official opening, the permanent exhibition My Belarus launched in December 2024 and has since attracted over 400,000 visitors. International trade fairs have made the IEC a vital platform for business, technology, and international collaboration. It also hosts a variety of concerts, performances, and cultural events, including the grand opening show featuring renowned Belarusian artists such as the Tsitovich Choir. The Minsk International Exhibition Centre combines visionary architecture, exceptional functionality, and a strategic location, positioning itself as a showcase and hub for the economic, cultural, and technological advancement of Belarus.
