The Model Railway Fair in Lambsheim is much more than just a sales event – it is a lively meeting place for enthusiasts and collectors from the world of model trains. Since its founding in 2010 by the Modell-Eisenbahnfreunde Frankenthal e.V., the fair has grown steadily and has become a well-established event in the region. Originally launched in Frankenthal-Studernheim, it has been held since 2012 in the brightly lit and comfortably heated sports hall of the Turnverein 1864/04 Lambsheim e.V. The hall provides a welcoming atmosphere where both newcomers and seasoned collectors can enjoy themselves.
Several times a year, the fair opens its doors to visitors of all ages, offering a wide range of items: model trains in all common gauges, particularly in H0 and N scales, as well as accessories, model cars, tin toys, dolls, and specialist literature. Alongside brand-new items, visitors can discover a wealth of second-hand treasures. Both private and commercial exhibitors showcase new releases, rare finds, and spare parts that are sure to delight every model enthusiast.
A particular highlight is the spacious test track, where locomotives of all systems and gauges can be tested on site. The opportunity to personally verify the functionality of the models perfectly complements the fair’s offerings. Expert advice and the chance to exchange ideas with like-minded enthusiasts make visiting the fair a special experience.
Organized by the Modell-Eisenbahnfreunde Frankenthal e.V., a passionate association dedicated to the world of miniature railways, the event ensures high quality and a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. Admission is free for children and young people up to 16 years of age, helping to inspire the next generation with a love for this fascinating hobby.
