The National Money Show® is one of the leading numismatic trade shows in the United States. It attracts coin collectors, investors, historians and anyone with an interest in the world of money. Organised annually by the esteemed American Numismatic Association (ANA) – a non-profit institution founded in 1891 dedicated to promoting the study of coins and currency – the event rotates between cities across the country, from Phoenix to Atlanta to Pittsburgh, giving it a dynamic, nationwide appeal.
At the heart of the show are world-class displays of rare coins, medals, banknotes and tokens, drawn from both museum collections and significant private holdings. Collectors have the opportunity to admire, buy, sell or exchange exceptional items. Enhancing the experience is a large-scale bourse – a trading floor featuring hundreds of professional dealers offering a wide range of numismatic items and specialist literature.
One particularly valuable service is on-site appraisal by certified experts, who help visitors accurately assess the authenticity and market value of their items. The National Money Show® is also a hub for education and knowledge exchange: through seminars, expert lectures and interactive workshops, both newcomers and seasoned numismatists gain hands-on, well-founded insights – from detecting forgeries to coin design and placing items in their historical context.
A further highlight is the Money Talks programme, where respected specialists deliver concise presentations on niche topics of interest. For younger audiences, the show offers child-friendly educational and play-based activities designed to spark and nurture an early interest in collecting.
Exhibitors predominantly come from fields such as numismatics, financial services, specialist publishing, museum education and security technology – a testament to the event’s breadth and relevance. Visitors typically include passionate collectors, investors, academics, educators, dealers, museum professionals and representatives from cultural institutions.
Whether held in a modern exhibition centre or a historic convention hall, venues are carefully chosen for their accessibility – easily reached by car, air or public transport. More than just a marketplace or educational forum, the National Money Show® offers a vibrant, immersive experience that brings the history of money to life – in a new, thoughtfully selected U.S. location each year.
The National Money Show® will take place on 3 days from Thursday, 26. February to Saturday, 28. February 2026 in Savannah.
