Naturschutz- & Kulturlandschafts-Pflegetag (NKP-Tag) Sinntal

The Nature and Cultural Landscape Care Day (NKP-Tag) is a hands-on trade fair dedicated to the sustainable and environmentally conscious management of natural and cultural landscapes.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the Sinntal's low mountain range, in the village of Weichersbach, NKP Day opens its gates at irregular intervals—typically in early autumn—to a diverse audience of professionals and regional visitors. The event was founded and is organized by landscape conservationist and environmental practitioner Marcus Curie, whose expertise and personal commitment brought the fair to life.

What sets NKP Day apart is its unique blend of traditional methods and modern technology. On display are equipment and techniques such as sickle bar mowers, double-blade mowers, scythes, remote-controlled specialty machinery, and even working draft horses—all of which help promote and preserve biodiversity in meadows and fields. In addition to technical solutions, the event offers in-depth insights into topics such as biodiversity, regional seed mixtures, flower strip management, and sustainable energy and land use concepts, including solar-powered fencing and hay milk production.

The event appeals to a broad spectrum of attendees: farmers, municipal professionals, orchard owners, foresters, tree and landscape care specialists, gardeners, and members of conservation organizations will find relevant content, as will nature enthusiasts and hobby gardeners.
