Offshore & Port Tech is a specialised trade fair that has served as a key platform for innovation in the maritime industry since its launch in 2024. It is held alongside the well-established Sea Japan exhibition. The venue is Tokyo Big Sight, one of Asia’s largest and most modern exhibition centres, which attracts international exhibitors and industry professionals each year.
The event focuses on core themes within the so-called “blue economy”, with particular emphasis on renewable marine energy. This includes floating offshore wind, hydrogen and ammonia technologies, as well as carbon capture solutions. In addition, climate-neutral ports, intelligent logistics systems and sustainable infrastructure are gaining increasing prominence. As such, the exhibition addresses not only technological advancements but also practical strategies for achieving a low-emissions maritime future.
The range of products and services on display is extensive. It covers work vessels, marine engineering and offshore structures, energy storage and transport systems, and specialised components such as sensors, automation and control systems, subsea robotics (AUV/ROV), drones and AI-driven simulation software. These are complemented by services in consultancy, insurance, financing, workforce development and weather analysis, offering a comprehensive view of the maritime industry’s value chain.
Offshore & Port Tech is organised by Informa Markets Japan Co., Ltd., an experienced international exhibition organiser known for delivering high-quality, globally oriented events. The exhibition is closely aligned with Japan’s strategic focus on maritime innovation and sustainability, reinforcing the country’s position as a leading industrial nation in shipbuilding, port logistics and energy technology.
A distinctive feature of the event is its programme of practical forums, innovation showcases and networking formats, which facilitate exchange between decision-makers, engineers and investors.
Exhibitors represent a wide range of sectors, including shipbuilding, offshore energy, oil and gas, port operations, mechanical engineering, robotics, environmental technology and digital solutions. The visitor profile is equally diverse, comprising industry and technical professionals, port authorities, energy providers, logistics companies, research institutions and policymakers.
Finally, Offshore & Port Tech stands out not only for the quality of its content but also for its location. Tokyo Big Sight is situated on the artificial island of Odaiba and benefits from excellent public transport connections, including the Yurikamome Line and the Rinkai Line. This ensures an efficient and inspiring experience for all participants.
The Offshore & Port Tech takes place annually, and therefore for the second time previsibly in April 2027 in Tokyo.
