Oil & Gas Indonesia (OGI) is the leading international trade fair for the oil, gas, and energy industry in Southeast Asia and beyond. Since its inception in 1995, it has become the most important industry platform in Indonesia. Held annually in September at the expansive Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) in the heart of the Indonesian capital, the event benefits from a modern exhibition complex with excellent infrastructure, providing ideal conditions for professional dialogue, technology showcases, and international networking – all within a metropolis where tradition meets the future.
The event is organized by PT Pamerindo Indonesia, a subsidiary of Informa Markets (Informa plc), one of the world's largest trade fair organizers. Combining extensive industry experience with a forward-looking approach, the company has taken visible steps towards environmental responsibility through initiatives such as “Sustainability is Us”, which promotes the use of renewable energy and sustainable exhibition practices.
OGI is part of the IEE Series – Energy & Engineering Week 2 and takes place alongside other major trade events, including Mining Indonesia, Electric & Power Indonesia, The Battery Show Indonesia, and Data Center Asia – Indonesia. This thematic clustering makes the event a central meeting point for decision-makers across the entire energy sector.
Indonesia is one of Southeast Asia’s largest natural gas producers and was a major oil exporter for many years. Its abundant natural resources not only support the country’s domestic industries and population but also enhance regional energy independence. As one of the world’s leading exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Indonesia is continuously modernizing and expanding its infrastructure. Key export markets include Japan, South Korea, and China.
The exhibition covers the entire value chain of the oil and gas industry – from exploration and production to transportation, processing, refining, and petrochemical conversion. A particular focus is placed on innovative technologies and services tailored to the specific needs of the Southeast Asian market. Exhibitors present a wide range of solutions, from highly specialized drilling and extraction equipment to systems for pipelines, LNG terminals, and refineries, as well as digital innovations such as AI-driven predictive maintenance, digital twins, and SCADA systems for process automation.
Another defining feature of OGI is its strong emphasis on forward-looking topics within the energy sector. These include carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), the role of natural gas as a bridging technology, the integration of renewable energy into existing infrastructure, and the reduction of methane emissions. Strategically important for Indonesia are also the promotion of local companies through joint ventures and technology transfers, as well as the modernization of existing extraction and refinery facilities.
OGI is open exclusively to trade professionals – particularly engineers, procurement specialists, and decision-makers – who are seeking customized solutions, reliable partners, and technological innovations. In a region facing significant challenges but offering immense growth potential, Oil & Gas Indonesia is far more than just a trade fair – it is a strategic hub for shaping Southeast Asia’s energy future.
This year the Oil & Gas Indonesia takes place on 4 days from Wed., 17.09.2025 to Sat., 20.09.2025 in Jakarta already for the 16th time.
