The “Oldtimer & Teilemarkt”, established in 1998, is one of Germany’s most distinctive specialist fairs dedicated to historic vehicle culture. It stands as a showcase for the trade, preservation and vibrant community surrounding classic mobility.
Each year, the harbour area in Riesa is transformed into a lively hub for enthusiasts of historic vehicles. Firmly embedded in the regional events calendar, the fair attracts visitors from across Germany as well as neighbouring countries.
The event is organised by Projektzentrum Dresden. Its location in the industrial town of Riesa—long shaped by steel, transport and engineering—provides an authentic backdrop that complements the mechanical heritage of the vehicles on display.
In terms of content, the Oldtimer & Teilemarkt focuses on a clearly defined yet highly diverse range: at its core are classic and modern classic vehicles (oldtimers and youngtimers) spanning numerous categories, from cars and motorcycles to tractors and commercial vehicles, including pre-war models. The line-up is further enriched by American classic cars, historic military vehicles and typical vehicles from the former East Germany, all of which hold particular appeal for collectors.
A central feature is the parts market, offering original spare parts, specialist tools, restoration materials and consumables such as tyres and rubber components. In addition, visitors will find care products, technical literature, collectibles and period accessories—making it possible not only to shop, but also to immerse themselves fully in the scene.
A key strength of the event lies in the close integration of commerce and expertise: restoration workshops, specialist service providers and insurance companies present their services and offer practical advice on restoration, value preservation and the operation of historic vehicles. The exhibitor base is correspondingly broad, ranging from parts dealers and skilled trades to vehicle builders, specialist service firms and private collectors.
On the visitor side, passionate hobby mechanics, restorers and collectors meet technically curious guests who experience the event as a living, open-air museum.
One of the highlights is the large open-class gathering, where classic and modern classic vehicles of all types come together, turning the harbour site into an impressive display of automotive history.
The harbour setting in Riesa offers ideal conditions: expansive open spaces, an industrial atmosphere and excellent road and rail links make the venue easily accessible while reinforcing the distinctive character of an event that not only presents technological history, but brings it to life.
The Oldtimer & Teilemarkt will take place on Sunday, 10. May 2026 in Riesa.
