POWER ELECTRONICS JAPAN is one of Japan’s leading trade fairs dedicated to power electronics and advanced power semiconductor technologies. Since its inception, it has established itself as a highly specialised platform for companies, developers, engineers and decision-makers involved in energy-efficient power conversion and innovative electronic systems. The event covers the full spectrum of power electronics, a field that plays a pivotal role in the electrification of vehicles, industrial equipment, energy systems and consumer products. As a major industry gathering, it brings together research, development, manufacturing and practical applications of modern power electronics within a single professional environment.
POWER ELECTRONICS JAPAN is held annually during the summer at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan’s largest and most renowned exhibition and convention centre. The event is organised by the Japan Management Association (JMA), one of the country’s most respected exhibition and event management organisations. Drawing on decades of experience in staging international trade fairs, JMA actively promotes technological exchange between industry, academia and the wider business community.
The exhibition focuses on power semiconductors and their diverse applications. Particular attention is given to advanced materials and devices such as silicon carbide (SiC), gallium nitride (GaN), gallium oxide (Ga₂O₃), MOSFETs and IGBTs, all of which are regarded as key enabling technologies for energy-efficient systems. The exhibition portfolio is further complemented by power modules, electronic components, circuits, manufacturing and measurement technologies. In addition, visitors can explore simulation and development tools, complete application systems and end products, as well as solutions for thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), noise suppression and modern front-loading design methodologies. Innovative manufacturing and production technologies also form an important part of the event’s offering.
A particular strength of the exhibition is its close integration with Techno-Frontier, one of Japan’s most significant technology and engineering trade fairs. This provides visitors with valuable insights into related fields, including drive technologies, electronic components, embedded systems and industrial automation. Technical seminars, specialist presentations and expert forums offer further opportunities to discuss current market trends, research findings and future developments in power electronics. The emphasis is firmly placed on knowledge sharing, technology transfer and the development of new business opportunities.
Exhibitors primarily represent the semiconductor industry, electronics manufacturing, automotive engineering, energy and environmental technologies, industrial automation, measurement and testing, mechanical engineering, and research and development. Key visitor groups include design and development engineers, product designers, production managers, procurement specialists, system integrators, researchers and senior executives from the automotive, industrial electronics, energy and consumer electronics sectors, as well as numerous other technology-driven industries.
The venue, Tokyo Big Sight, is located in the modern waterfront district of Ariake on Tokyo Bay and is regarded as one of the city’s architectural landmarks. Thanks to its excellent public transport connections, the exhibition grounds are easily accessible via both the Yurikamome and Rinkai lines. Situated in one of Asia’s most dynamic and innovative economic regions, POWER ELECTRONICS JAPAN serves as an important meeting place for the international power electronics community and an ideal forum for exchanging ideas on the technologies shaping the electrified future.
The POWER ELECTRONICS JAPAN will take place on 3 days from Wednesday, 15. July to Friday, 17. July 2026 in Tokyo.
