Power & Energy Africa Kenya is an international trade fair for energy and power supply held annually. Since its inception in 2012, it has steadily grown into a key meeting point for the African energy sector. Organized by the renowned Dubai-based EXPOGROUP, the exhibition offers a unique platform to showcase and advance current technologies, innovative solutions, and emerging trends in power generation, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
The event takes place at the prestigious Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. As one of East Africa’s most modern and significant venues, the KICC provides the infrastructure and resources required to host international events at the highest level. Held alongside Solar Africa, the event forms a comprehensive platform that covers all major aspects of the energy industry.
A defining feature of Power & Energy Africa is its strong focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies aimed at meeting Africa’s growing energy demand efficiently and with minimal emissions. Central to this are renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass. The exhibition also highlights energy storage solutions, smart grid systems, rural electrification initiatives, and energy-efficient approaches for both industry and households.
Another key focus of the fair is the digitalization and automation of energy supply through smart grid and microgrid technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and modern infrastructure solutions. The exhibition also addresses the challenges and opportunities in e-mobility, including sustainable transport systems, charging infrastructure, and electric vehicles.
The event’s appeal is further enhanced by a wide range of lectures, workshops, and networking sessions that foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among utility companies, manufacturers, project developers, investors, and policymakers. The trade fair is supported by influential institutions such as Kenya’s Ministry of Energy, the Electricity Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK), the Kenya Green Building Society, and the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO).
Today, Power & Energy Africa Kenya ranks among the most important events of its kind on the African continent, attracting thousands of international professionals each year who are collectively shaping the future of sustainable energy in Africa.
For the twelfth time there is the Power & Energy Africa Kenya on 3 days from Thur., 26.06.2025 to Sat., 28.06.2025 in Nairobi.
