The RAIL TRANSPORT FORUM is an international trade fair dedicated to modern urban rail transport and ranks among the industry's leading meeting places for companies, decision-makers and professionals shaping the future of urban mobility. As a specialised forum for rail transport, the event brings together the latest innovations, technologies and infrastructure solutions for tram, metro and suburban rail systems under one roof. Its primary focus is on practical solutions for efficient, safe and sustainable public transport, while also providing a platform for professional dialogue on the sector's current challenges and future developments.
The RAIL TRANSPORT FORUM is organised by Ptak Warsaw Expo Sp. z o. o., one of the leading trade fair organisers in Central and Eastern Europe. It takes place at the modern PTAK Warsaw Expo exhibition and congress centre in Nadarzyn, near Warsaw. Recognised as a leading venue for international trade events, the exhibition centre offers outstanding conditions for collaboration between industry, business and the public sector thanks to its scale and state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The exhibition covers the entire value chain of urban rail transport, from planning and construction through to operation and maintenance. Exhibits include modern rolling stock, innovative track and tunnel construction technologies, railway power supply systems, advanced signalling and train control systems, and digital traffic management solutions. The event also showcases modern station and stop infrastructure, passenger information systems, safety and diagnostic technologies, maintenance and servicing solutions, as well as software and IT applications for the efficient operation of urban rail networks. As a result, the exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the technologies and concepts shaping the future of public rail transport.
A key feature of the event is the accompanying Rail Transport Conference, where leading experts, network operators, representatives of local authorities, engineering consultancies and technology companies discuss current developments, innovative mobility concepts and the future requirements of urban rail systems. The conference focuses on knowledge exchange, business networking and the presentation of forward-looking technologies. A programme of expert presentations, panel discussions and networking events completes the conference agenda.
Exhibitors include manufacturers of rolling stock, suppliers of rail infrastructure, contractors specialising in railway construction projects, manufacturers of signalling and train control systems, providers of railway electrification solutions, software and IT companies, manufacturers of station and stop equipment, suppliers of passenger information systems, maintenance and service providers, manufacturers of specialist machinery and rail maintenance vehicles, as well as engineering, planning and consultancy firms. The exhibitor profile is further strengthened by the participation of research institutes, educational establishments and industry associations.
The trade fair is aimed primarily at operators of tram, metro and suburban rail networks, railway companies, public transport authorities, municipal and government decision-makers, infrastructure managers, transport planners, engineers, construction companies, architects, property developers, investors, procurement professionals and senior executives from the rail, transport and mobility sectors. As such, the RAIL TRANSPORT FORUM provides a highly specialised platform for investment decisions, technology transfer and the development of international business partnerships.
Hosted at the PTAK Warsaw Expo, the event benefits from one of the largest exhibition and congress centres in Poland. Located just a few kilometres south-west of Warsaw, the venue offers excellent accessibility via Warsaw Chopin Airport, the national motorway network and public transport, ensuring convenient access for both domestic and international trade visitors.
The first edition and therefore the premiere of the RAIL TRANSPORT FORUM takes place on 3 days from Tue., 08.09.2026 to Thur., 10.09.2026 in Nadarzyn.
