RE+ Trade Show – formerly known as Solar Power International, Energy Storage International, and Smart Energy Week – is North America's most important and largest professional event for clean energy. It is regarded as a key meeting point for all those who are actively shaping the future of sustainable energy systems. The name RE+, short for "Renewable Energy Plus," reflects the event’s comprehensive approach: its focus extends beyond solar energy to include critical technologies driving the energy transition – such as energy storage, hydrogen, wind power, electric mobility, and grid modernization.

Held annually, typically in September, the international energy community gathers at a rotating location in the United States to network, share knowledge, and showcase innovations. The event is organized by RE+ Events (formerly Solar Energy Trade Shows, LLC) in partnership with the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA).

At the heart of RE+ are forward-looking topics including photovoltaics, energy storage systems, hydrogen technologies, microgrids, wind energy, electric vehicle infrastructure, and the digitalization and electrification of power grids. The event offers a comprehensive view of the entire value chain – from research and development through financing and manufacturing to practical implementation by EPC service providers (Engineering, Procurement, Construction).

Exhibits cover technologies, software solutions, energy management systems, grid components, and sustainable infrastructure concepts. Companies from the finance and project development sectors are also well represented, making RE+ a key destination for investors and decision-makers.

A defining feature of RE+ is its strong focus on innovation. Live demonstrations of microgrids, expert forums on “Grid-of-Grids” architecture, presentations on green hydrogen production, and strategies for decarbonization are highlights of the program. The RE+ Tech seminar series further explores scientifically grounded advancements in solar, storage, and smart energy technologies.
