Rapid + TCT Boston

Since its launch in 1990, Rapid + TCT has grown into one of North America’s most influential and well-established trade shows for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing. Held annually in the United States, the event rotates between host cities, bringing leading regional AM innovation hubs into focus. This rotating format strengthens national industry networks and gives attendees direct exposure to diverse manufacturing ecosystems, research institutions and production clusters across the country.

The event is organised by SME, the internationally recognised association for advancing manufacturing technology, in partnership with Rapid News Publications Ltd., a specialist publisher dedicated to additive manufacturing. SME Canada plays a key role within the North American network, contributing to the event’s international outlook and technical depth. Drawing on this organisational expertise, Rapid + TCT brings together industrial practice, cutting-edge research and forward-looking production strategy at a consistently high standard.

The exhibition covers additive manufacturing (AM) and industrial 3D printing across the entire value chain. Exhibits include high-precision metal and polymer 3D printers, multi-material systems, automated post-processing solutions, industrial scanning technologies, and advanced simulation and design software. The showcase is complemented by innovative materials – from high-performance polymers to biocompatible compounds – as well as comprehensive engineering and manufacturing services. More than 400 exhibitors present real-world applications for serial production, spare parts manufacturing, lightweighting, functional integration and customised products.

A defining feature of Rapid + TCT is the close integration of exhibition and conference.
