In order to absorb the growing numbers of pupils in Dresden, lots of new schools and day-care centres will come into being according to the school development plan. The international fair and exhibition for educational institute architecture presents exemplary architecture concepts from Germany and the European neighbouring countries. Architects and expert planners, headmasters and educators, representatives of authorities and institutions, investors and construction companies will come together to learn about the latest trends and product innovations as regards architecture of educational institutes, such as kindergartens, schools, universities and academies, to establish contacts and to interact closely with parties involved of the other federal states. The visitors may look forward to a comprehensive and international program with star-studded panel discussions, lectures and workshops. Some 60 national and international exhibitors will present their innovations and products in the field of educational institute architecture. The network meeting will take place in a friendly atmosphere presenting forward-looking trends, materials and products for all indoor and outdoor areas of educational buildings. The range of products includes acoustic elements of floor coverings, paints, heating, ventilation, wood and modular construction, media technology, school furniture, sanitary facilities, security and locking systems as well as playground and sports equipment. A special focus is on the gentle development of open spaces. Further highlights are learning environments and inclusion, design of assembly halls, cafeterias and libraries, the use of new media technology in the classroom and intelligent lighting design.
