SIEE Pollutec Algiers

The SIEE Pollutec – short for Salon International des Équipements, des Technologies et des Services de l’Eau – is Africa’s leading trade fair for water, environmental, and energy technologies. Since its inception in 2005, it has established itself as a central platform for professionals in the water and environmental sectors. The fair is held annually, alternating between Ain Benian and the capital city Algiers, and is organized by Symbiose Communication Environment, a seasoned event organizer in the environmental field.

The SIEE Pollutec was initiated by the Algerian Ministry of Water Resources with the aim of sustainably strengthening the national water infrastructure through innovative technologies, knowledge exchange, and international cooperation. In light of Algeria’s climatic challenges, the fair has evolved into a strategically important event for ensuring water security.

A defining feature of SIEE Pollutec is its consistent focus on the African market and on technological and ecological issues in water management. Exhibiting companies present cutting-edge solutions across a range of fields, including water and plant engineering, automation, IoT, waste management, coastal protection, renewable energies, as well as measurement and analysis technologies. The trade fair combines an extensive exhibition with an international symposium, offering space for dialogue on developments, regulatory frameworks, and concrete projects.

Represented at the fair are companies and organizations from construction, engineering, environmental technology, mechanical engineering, public administration, and research and academia. The professional audience consists of decision-makers from ministries, municipal utilities, planning offices, universities, and international institutions. They use the fair as a targeted platform for knowledge exchange, business development, and the formation of new partnerships.

A central element of the event is its accompanying conference program. Thematically focused forums showcase innovative concepts for utilizing alternative water resources, increasing the efficiency of existing infrastructure, and remediating contaminated sites. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 10. June to 13. June 2024, about 7500 visitors on the SIEE Pollutec in Ain Benian.

A very special event is the 20th anniversary edition of the SIEE Pollutec, which takes place on 3 days from Sun., 18.05.2025 to Tue., 20.05.2025 in Algiers.
